It depends on the generation. Mk2 (2004–2011): from €650; Mk3 (2011–2014): from €650; Mk3.5 (2014–2018): from €150; Mk4 (2018–2025): from €150. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Mk2, built 2004–2011 (6000CD radio, or the Sony six-disc unit on Titanium and Ghia cars; Bluetooth and voice control on later cars, no screen): No screen to work with, so the route is an Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in place of the 6000CD or Sony radio. Mk3, built 2011–2014 (SYNC 1 with a 4.2-inch display on most cars, or the Sony DAB radio with a 5-inch screen; no touchscreen and no CarPlay): The 4.2 and 5-inch units cannot take CarPlay, so we fit the 9-inch Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the radio position. Mk3.5, built 2014–2018 (SYNC 2 with an 8-inch touchscreen on 2014–2016 cars, SYNC 3 from late 2016 (CarPlay after a software update); base cars keep a 4.2-inch display radio): SYNC 3 cars: a software update to version 3, plus the USB hub swap on early builds, unlocks CarPlay and Android Auto on the 8-inch screen; SYNC 2 cars get a CarPlay box on that screen. Mk4, built 2018–2025 (SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen and CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory; SYNC 4 with a 13.2-inch screen from the 2022 facelift): Factory CarPlay and Android Auto; we fit a wireless adapter on SYNC 3 cars and set up wireless CarPlay on SYNC 4 cars.

Mk2: two to three hours; Mk3: two to three hours; Mk3.5: under an hour; Mk4: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Focus in the morning and collect it the same day.
