Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installation for a Ford Fiesta

This Ford Fiesta came to our Dublin 11 workshop for a multimedia upgrade. We removed the factory radio and fitted an Android touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new unit was installed using a Fiesta-specific fascia and plug-in harness. It sits within the original dashboard opening, with no factory wiring cut. We retained the steering wheel controls, checked the fit and tested the system in the car before handover.

What we fitted

  • Android touchscreen head unit
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Ford Fiesta-specific fascia
  • Plug-in wiring harness
  • Steering wheel control integration

The screen gives the driver access to compatible navigation, calls, messages and music apps. The head unit also offers Bluetooth and USB connectivity, built-in GPS and an input for a compatible reversing camera.

Will it fit your Ford Fiesta?

The suitable kit depends on your Fiesta’s model year, dashboard layout and existing radio. Send us your registration and clear photos of the dashboard and steering wheel, and we’ll check the correct screen and any integration parts needed before quoting.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Answers about this Ford Fiesta job. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.

Ask on WhatsApp
Can Apple CarPlay be retrofitted to the Ford Fiesta?

In most cases yes. Either an interface is added behind the factory screen, or the head unit is replaced with one that has CarPlay built in. Which route suits the Ford Fiesta depends on the year and the screen it was built with — we confirm that before quoting.

Will the steering wheel controls still work?

Yes. The new unit connects through a Ford Fiesta harness and, where the car needs one, a steering wheel interface, so the volume, track and call buttons keep working. A reversing camera can be connected to the same screen.

Is anything cut during the install?

No. The kit uses a fascia and plug-in harness made for the Ford Fiesta, so the factory wiring is not cut. Keep the original radio and the car can go back to stock later if you want.

How long does the fitting take?

Most CarPlay retrofits are done in a few hours, so the car is usually back with you the same day. We book a slot at our Dublin 11 workshop and confirm timing once we know the exact year and trim.
