This Cookie Policy explains how Vasso & Co, trading as Radio King, uses cookies and similar storage on radioking.ie. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies (and similar technologies such as localStorage) are small files a website stores in your
browser. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — for example, keeping items in your
basket — and, with your permission, help load embedded content or measure how the site is used.
2. The cookies we use
We group them by purpose, following the choices in our cookie banner:
Essential (always on)
Needed for the site to work. These keep the shop and your basket functioning, remember your cookie choices and your light/dark theme, and keep the site secure. They do not track you for advertising and cannot be switched off, as the site would not work correctly without them.

Embedded content (only with consent)
If you allow it, we load third-party content such as YouTube videos and Google Maps. These providers may set their own cookies and can see your IP address when their content loads. Until you consent, this content stays blocked behind a placeholder.
Analytics (only with consent)
If you allow it, we use Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_* cookies, up to 2 years) to understand,
in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. Google’s tags honour Consent Mode v2: until
you opt in they run in cookieless mode and store no identifiers. This is optional and off until you opt
in.
With analytics or marketing consent we also set our own cookie rk_utm (30 days). It remembers the
campaign tags of the link you arrived from (for example utm_source=facebook) so that an enquiry you
send later is credited to the right campaign. The Google ad click ID (gclid) is stored in it only
with marketing consent. Without consent, the cookie is not set.
With the same consent we also set rk_path (90 days from your last visit). It remembers when you
first visited, how many visits you have made, where your first visit came from (campaign tag, the
referring website or a direct visit) and the last 15 pages you viewed on our site, without search
terms or other URL parameters. We read it only when you send an enquiry form or start a WhatsApp chat
from the site and keep it with that enquiry, so our sales team can see what you were interested in. It
is not shared with advertising partners and is deleted when you withdraw consent.
Advertising / Marketing (only with consent)
If you allow marketing cookies, we and our advertising partners measure how our ads perform:

These record events such as page views, form submissions and purchases, and — with your consent —
match them using hashed (SHA-256) email/phone, as described in our
Privacy Policy. With marketing consent we also keep the Google ad click ID with your
enquiry and later report to Google Ads whether it became a deal or sale — see section 5 of the Privacy
Policy. Meta and TikTok tags are not loaded at all until you consent; withdrawing consent via
Cookie settings in the footer stops them again and deletes the click ID from rk_utm.
Ads based on your email address (Google Customer Match, Meta Custom Audiences) are not covered by this cookie choice — they need the separate box on our forms. See section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
3. Your choices
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential cookies, or Manage your preferences. You can change your decision at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
You can also control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site — such as the shop — from working.
4. Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
