Not on the 4.2-inch SYNC 1 display, which has no CarPlay in its software and no video input. The route on 2013–2017 cars is a Fiesta-specific 9-inch Android screen in place of SYNC 1 and its button block: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, a camera input, and the steering buttons kept. Mk8 cars from 2017 have CarPlay on SYNC 3 from the factory.

SYNC 3 in the Mk8 runs CarPlay and Android Auto over the USB lead, and that includes the 2022 facelift. We fit a wireless adapter that plugs into the same USB port and pairs with your phone, so it connects on its own when you get in. Base Style cars with the 4.2-inch radio have no SYNC 3, so they take the Android screen route instead.

Mk6, built 2002–2008 (6000CD radio, or the Sony six-disc unit on top trims; no screen): Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the 6000CD position on a double-DIN fascia. Mk7, built 2008–2012 (6000CD radio or the Sony CD unit with the button-heavy centre stack; Bluetooth voice control optional, no screen): 9-inch Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto replaces the 6000CD or Sony unit and its button block on a matching fascia. Mk7.5, built 2013–2017 (SYNC 1 with a 4.2-inch display and AppLink on most cars, or the Sony DAB radio with the same display; no touchscreen and no CarPlay): The 4.2-inch SYNC 1 unit cannot take CarPlay, so we fit the 9-inch Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, keeping the steering buttons and USB port. Mk8, built 2017–2023 (SYNC 3 with a 6.5 or 8-inch touchscreen and CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory; base cars have a DAB radio with a 4.2-inch display): Factory CarPlay and Android Auto on SYNC 3 cars, with a wireless adapter added; base cars with the 4.2-inch radio get the Android screen instead.

Mk6: two to three hours; Mk7: two to three hours; Mk7.5: two to three hours; Mk8: two to three hours. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Fiesta in the morning and collect it the same day.
