It depends on the generation. Mk1 (2012–2023): from €150; Mk2 (2023 on): from €150. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Mk1, built 2012–2023 (Radio with a 4-inch display or SYNC 1 on 2012–2018 vans, SYNC 3 with a 6-inch touchscreen on some 2016–2018 vans; SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen and factory CarPlay from the 2018 facelift, while base Leader vans keep a DAB radio with a 4-inch display): 4-inch radio and SYNC 1 vans get the Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto; SYNC 3 6-inch vans get CarPlay unlocked by software update, and 2018-on vans already have it and get a wireless adapter. Mk2, built 2023 on (SYNC 4 with a 13-inch touchscreen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory): Factory wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on SYNC 4, so no hardware is needed; we set the phone up and check the software is current.

Mk1: under an hour; Mk2: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Transit Custom in the morning and collect it the same day.

Mk1: nothing physical changes — the Radio with a 4-inch display or SYNC 1 on 2012–2018 vans, SYNC 3 with a 6-inch touchscreen on some 2016–2018 vans; SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen and factory CarPlay from the 2018 facelift, while base Leader vans keep a DAB radio with a 4-inch display stays and the CarPlay tile simply appears. Mk2: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
