Ford Fiesta Android screen & radio upgrade, generation by generation.

Mk6 and Mk7 cars with the 6000CD or Sony radio, and Mk7.5 cars with SYNC 1, are the ones we fit screens to. The unit sits on a Fiesta fascia in place of the radio and button block; the climate controls below stay, the steering buttons are wired in, and DAB and a reversing camera input come built in. Mk8 cars keep SYNC 3 unless they are base cars with the small radio.

Mk6, built 2002–2008 (6000CD radio, or the Sony six-disc unit on top trims; no screen): Android screen on a fascia that fills the oval radio panel; steering stalk controls kept, DAB and a camera input built in. Mk7, built 2008–2012 (6000CD radio or the Sony CD unit with the button-heavy centre stack; Bluetooth voice control optional, no screen): 9-inch Android screen and matching fascia in place of the radio and button block; climate controls and steering buttons kept, DAB and camera input included. Mk7.5, built 2013–2017 (SYNC 1 with a 4.2-inch display and AppLink on most cars, or the Sony DAB radio with the same display; no touchscreen and no CarPlay): 9-inch Android screen replaces SYNC 1 and its button block; the voice button and steering controls are wired in, DAB and a camera input built in. Mk8, built 2017–2023 (SYNC 3 with a 6.5 or 8-inch touchscreen and CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory; base cars have a DAB radio with a 4.2-inch display): Factory SYNC 3 stays on most cars; base cars with the 4.2-inch DAB radio get a 9-inch Android screen with the climate panel kept.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Ford Fiesta Mk6, Mk7, Mk7.5 and Mk8. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
