Radio King does speaker upgrade on every Ford Focus generation we see: Mk2 (2004–2011): Front and rear door speakers and dash tweeters replaced with plug-in adapters and mounting rings, no cutting; Mk3 (2011–2014): Component fronts and rear door speakers on plug-in adapters; the dash speakers on Sony cars swapped at the same time; Mk3.5 (2014–2018): Plug-in speaker upgrade front and rear; Sony cars keep the factory amplifier and the dash speakers; Mk4 (2018–2025): Plug-in upgrade for the standard six-speaker system; B&O cars keep the factory amplifier and subwoofer. How long does speakers take on a Ford Focus?
Two to four hours depending on how many speakers are changed on the Ford Focus Mk2, Mk3, Mk3.5 and Mk4. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit speakers on a Ford Focus?
On every Focus we work on — Mk2, Mk3, Mk3.5 and Mk4 — the factory head unit and amplifier stay; speakers go in on plug-in adapters, so nothing is cut and it can be reversed.
