Yes. On the 2011–2020 XP130 the Touch 2 and Touch 2 with Go units never had CarPlay in Europe, so there are two routes: a CarPlay box that feeds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto into the factory screen, or an Android screen that replaces the unit and adds DAB and built-in maps. Japanese-import Vitz cars with a Japanese unit take the Android screen. XP210 cars from 2020 already have CarPlay.

No retrofit: the XP210 came with CarPlay and Android Auto on the 8-inch Touch 2 unit, and later Smart Connect cars have it wirelessly. On the wired 8-inch cars we fit a small wireless adapter so the phone stays in your pocket, and on imported cars we sort the region and map settings. Cameras, front sensors and dash cams are the usual XP210 jobs.

It depends on the generation. XP90 (2005–2011): from €650; XP130 (2011–2020): from €450; XP210 (2020 on): from €150. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

XP90, built 2005–2011 (Factory CD radio without a screen on nearly all cars; a Toyota navigation unit on a few high-spec cars): An Android screen in the factory radio slot with a Yaris fascia and plug-in harness gives wireless CarPlay and Android Auto; the steering-wheel buttons are kept through a CAN adapter. XP130, built 2011–2020 (Toyota Touch 6.1-inch on 2011–2014 cars, Touch 2 or Touch 2 with Go from the 2014 facelift; no CarPlay on most cars, and Japanese-import Vitz cars carry a Japanese unit): An Android screen replaces the Touch or Touch 2 unit for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, the same route on a Japanese-import Vitz with a Japanese unit; a CarPlay box on the factory Touch 2 screen is the alternative if you want to keep the original unit. XP210, built 2020 on (Toyota Touch 2 8-inch with wired CarPlay and Android Auto on 2020–2023 cars; Toyota Smart Connect 9 or 10.5-inch with wireless CarPlay on most later cars): CarPlay and Android Auto are factory-fitted; we add a wireless adapter to the wired 8-inch units and sort maps and region on imported cars.

XP90: two to three hours; XP130: two to four hours; XP210: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Yaris in the morning and collect it the same day.

XP90: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. XP130: the Toyota Touch 6.1-inch on 2011–2014 cars, Touch 2 or Touch 2 with Go from the 2014 facelift; no CarPlay on most cars, and Japanese-import Vitz cars carry a Japanese unit and its controls stay; the box sits behind the trim and is switched from the factory buttons. XP210: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
