It depends on the generation. On an XP90 with the CD radio there is no screen, so the camera shows on the Android screen we fit or on a mirror monitor. On the XP130 the Touch 2 unit usually has a camera input, so the picture comes up on the factory screen when you select reverse; otherwise it goes on the Android screen. The XP210 has a factory camera on most cars.

XP90, built 2005–2011 (Factory CD radio without a screen on nearly all cars; a Toyota navigation unit on a few high-spec cars): Camera in the tailgate handle or the number-plate light, shown on the new Android screen or on a mirror monitor if the factory radio stays. XP130, built 2011–2020 (Toyota Touch 6.1-inch on 2011–2014 cars, Touch 2 or Touch 2 with Go from the 2014 facelift; no CarPlay on most cars, and Japanese-import Vitz cars carry a Japanese unit): Camera in the tailgate handle: the Touch 2 unit accepts a camera on most cars, otherwise it goes on the Android screen or through the CarPlay box. XP210, built 2020 on (Toyota Touch 2 8-inch with wired CarPlay and Android Auto on 2020–2023 cars; Toyota Smart Connect 9 or 10.5-inch with wireless CarPlay on most later cars): Factory camera in the tailgate handle shown on the Touch 2 or Smart Connect screen; where a car came without one we add a camera to the factory unit's input.
