XW20, built 2003–2009 (Multi-function display for energy and climate in the dash top, with a separate CD radio below; JBL on some cars): Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto through the Android screen; the multi-function display and climate controls are untouched. XW30, built 2009–2015 (Factory CD radio on most Irish cars, Toyota Touch on some 2012–2015 cars; Japanese-import ZVW30 cars carry a Japanese unit): Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto replacing the radio or Touch unit; the same route on a Japanese-import car with a Japanese unit. XW50, built 2016–2022 (Toyota Touch 2 with Go 7 or 8-inch; no CarPlay on most cars, some late cars have it; many Irish cars are Japanese imports with a Japanese unit): CarPlay box on the factory Touch 2 screen, or an Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto; on a Japanese-import car with a Japanese unit the route is the Android screen. XW60, built 2023 on (Toyota Smart Connect 8 or 12.3-inch with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory): Factory wireless CarPlay and Android Auto; we set it up and sort region and maps on an imported car.

XW20: two to three hours; XW30: two to three hours; XW50: two to four hours; XW60: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Prius in the morning and collect it the same day.
