Toyota Prius Android screen & radio upgrade, generation by generation.

There are two: one for the 2009–2015 XW30 and one for the 2015–2020 XW50, each with its own fascia and plug-in harness so nothing is cut and the steering-wheel buttons stay. Both fit the Japanese-import versions with a Japanese unit. The 2003–2009 XW20 uses a different kit that keeps the multi-function display above the radio. The seven-seat Prius+ and its Japanese-import twin, the Prius Alpha, have their own dash and use a separate kit for 2012–2018 cars, which we also stock. The work is the same as on the hatch: Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, a camera input and the steering-wheel buttons kept, with the Japanese unit replaced on imports.

It depends on the generation. XW20 (2003–2009): from €290; XW30 (2009–2015): from €220; XW50 (2016–2022): from €290. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

XW20, built 2003–2009 (Multi-function display for energy and climate in the dash top, with a separate CD radio below; JBL on some cars): Android screen in the radio slot below the multi-function display, which stays for energy and climate; harness for the JBL cars. XW30, built 2009–2015 (Factory CD radio on most Irish cars, Toyota Touch on some 2012–2015 cars; Japanese-import ZVW30 cars carry a Japanese unit): Android screen with DAB and a camera input using the 2009–2015 Prius kit, fascia and plug-in harness included. XW50, built 2016–2022 (Toyota Touch 2 with Go 7 or 8-inch; no CarPlay on most cars, some late cars have it; many Irish cars are Japanese imports with a Japanese unit): Android screen with the 2015–2020 Prius kit in place of the Touch 2 or Japanese unit; DAB, camera input and steering-wheel buttons kept.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Toyota Prius XW20, XW30 and XW50. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
