The new head unit in the 2005 Toyota Landcruiser

This older Toyota Landcruiser was brought back up to date with a new head unit in place of the original radio: Bluetooth calls, music streaming and clearer audio throughout.

The install keeps the dashboard looking factory-clean, with all wiring tucked away and every function tested before handover.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Answers about this Toyota Landcruiser job. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.

Ask on WhatsApp
Will I keep my steering wheel controls?

Yes. A control interface translates the factory buttons for the new unit, so volume, track and phone controls keep working from the wheel. On most cars the original display for media information keeps working too.

Does the new stereo support DAB radio?

Yes. The units we fit take DAB as standard, which matters in Ireland where a number of stations are digital-only. A DAB aerial is fitted as part of the job where the car does not already have one.

Can the original stereo be refitted later?

Yes. Because the install uses an adapter loom rather than cut wiring, the factory unit can go back in at any time. Keep the original stereo and fascia — that is all that is needed to reverse the job.

Which head unit fits Toyota models?

That depends on the aperture — single DIN, double DIN or a model-specific screen — and on the year. We check the fascia and loom availability for Toyota models before quoting, so you get a unit that fits without cutting the dash.
