Three kits cover the cars we see: one for the 2003–2009 120, one for the 2009–2017 150 with the CD radio or Touch 2 unit, and one for the 2017–2023 150 facelift with its redesigned dash. Each has a fascia and a plug-in harness, so nothing is cut and the steering-wheel buttons stay. The 100-series Amazon is done with a different fascia. That is where it earns its keep. The screen has built-in offline maps for places with no signal, a camera input for a tailgate camera that survives a working life, DAB and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. On the two-seat commercial 120 and 150 the dash and the kit are the same as the passenger car, and the bulkhead does not get in the way of the wiring.

J120, built 2003–2009 (Factory CD radio without a screen on most cars; a Toyota navigation screen on high-spec cars): Android screen in the double-DIN slot with a 120 fascia and plug-in harness; DAB, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a camera input and the steering-wheel buttons kept. J150, built 2009–2017 (Factory CD radio on early cars, Toyota Touch 2 with Go from the 2013 facelift; no CarPlay): Android screen with the 2008–2016 Land Cruiser kit in place of the radio or Touch 2 unit; wireless CarPlay, DAB and a camera input, steering-wheel buttons kept. J150, built 2017–2023 (Toyota Touch 2 with Go 8-inch in the redesigned dash; CarPlay and Android Auto on 2020 and later cars): Android screen with the 2017–2020 kit for the redesigned dash; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, a camera input and built-in maps for off-road use. J250, built 2024 on (Toyota Smart Connect 12.3-inch with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory): The factory 12.3-inch unit is kept; on an imported 250 we sort maps and region, and add a reversing camera or dash cam around it.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Toyota Land Cruiser J120, J150 and J250. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
