Radio King upgrades the Toyota Corolla by generation: the E120 and E150 get an Android screen in place of the CD radio, the E170 and imported Axio and Fielder take a CarPlay box or an Android screen, and the E210 has CarPlay, so we add cameras, front sensors and dash cams. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.
The head unit decides the route, and it changed with every generation. Find your years, then pick the service above for what we fit and from what price.
| Generation | Years | Body | Factory system |
|---|---|---|---|
| E120 Ninth generation | 2002–2007 | hatch, saloon and estate | Factory CD radio without a screen; a small navigation unit on a few cars |
| E150 Tenth generation | 2007–2013 | saloon | Factory CD radio without a screen on nearly all Irish cars |
| E170 Eleventh generation | 2013–2019 | saloon; Japanese-import Axio saloon and Fielder estate | Toyota Touch 2 or Touch 2 with Go 6.1-inch on Irish cars, no CarPlay; Japanese-import Axio and Fielder cars carry a Japanese unit |
| E210 Twelfth generation | 2019 on | hatch, Touring Sports estate and saloon | Toyota Touch 2 with Go 8-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto on most cars from 2019, early cars via a software update; Toyota Smart Connect 10.5-inch with wireless CarPlay from the 2023 update |

Answers for Corolla owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.
Ask on WhatsAppThe 2013–2019 E170 saloon and its Japanese-import cousins, the Axio and the Fielder estate, mostly for CarPlay through a box or an Android screen. Older E120 and E150 cars come in for an Android screen with DAB and a camera, and E210 owners want front sensors, a dash cam and a wireless adapter for the factory CarPlay.
Only at the head unit. Import cars usually carry a Japanese radio with no CarPlay and an FM band that stops short of Irish stations, so on those the answer is an Android screen with wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB, using the E170 fascia and harness. Cameras, sensors and dash cams are fitted exactly as on an Irish car. Dashboard language is a separate job.
Yes, when it is wired from the 12 V side of the car. We take power at the driver's side fuse box with a fuse tap and a low-voltage cut-off, so parking mode cannot flatten the 12 V battery, and never touch the hybrid system. Cables run behind the A-pillar trim and the headliner, with the rear camera along the tailgate loom on the Touring Sports.
E120 — 2002–2007 (hatch, saloon and estate): Factory CD radio without a screen; a small navigation unit on a few cars. E150 — 2007–2013 (saloon): Factory CD radio without a screen on nearly all Irish cars. E170 — 2013–2019 (saloon; Japanese-import Axio saloon and Fielder estate): Toyota Touch 2 or Touch 2 with Go 6.1-inch on Irish cars, no CarPlay; Japanese-import Axio and Fielder cars carry a Japanese unit. E210 — 2019 on (hatch, Touring Sports estate and saloon): Toyota Touch 2 with Go 8-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto on most cars from 2019, early cars via a software update; Toyota Smart Connect 10.5-inch with wireless CarPlay from the 2023 update. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.
CarPlay: Android screen on the E120 and E150, box or screen on the E170, factory CarPlay on the E210. Car radio: Android screen with DAB and a camera input in place of the CD radio, Touch 2 or Japanese unit. Reversing camera: Boot-lid camera on the Android screen, the Touch 2 input or the factory unit. Parking sensors: Colour-matched rear sensors on older cars, front sensors added to the E170 and E210. Dash cam: Hardwired from the driver's side fuse box with a cut-off; 12 V side only on hybrids. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Parking sensors: two to three hours for one end, about half a day for front and rear. Most Corolla owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
E120: the Factory CD radio without a screen; a small navigation unit on a few cars stays and we add to it. E150: the Factory CD radio without a screen on nearly all Irish cars stays and we add to it. E170: the Toyota Touch 2 or Touch 2 with Go 6.1-inch on Irish cars, no CarPlay; Japanese-import Axio and Fielder cars carry a Japanese unit stays and we add to it. E210: the Toyota Touch 2 with Go 8-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto on most cars from 2019, early cars via a software update; Toyota Smart Connect 10.5-inch with wireless CarPlay from the 2023 update stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
Send the reg or the year on WhatsApp or the form below and we confirm the generation, the route, the price and the next free slot. Every job carries a one-year warranty on the work, done at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
