No. The C292 Coupé uses the same NTG5.1 head unit as the W166 GLE of the same years, and the C167 Coupé the same MBUX as the V167, so the box, the dongle and the wireless setup are identical. What we check by reg is the head unit and whether the Smartphone Integration option was ordered, not the body shape.

CarPlay: A wireless CarPlay box or Android screen on the ML, a box on the W166 GLE, wireless CarPlay on the V167 MBUX. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most GLE owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
