Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were added to this Mercedes-Benz A-Class A180 at the Radio King workshop in Dublin 11: the factory radio was replaced with an Android touchscreen in the original dash opening, with the steering wheel controls and the factory look kept.
What was fitted on this Mercedes-Benz A Class A180
The factory radio came out and an Android head unit went in its place, supplied as a kit for the Mercedes-Benz A Class A180 with the model-specific fascia and a plug-in harness, so nothing on the car was cut. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect the moment you get in, the steering wheel buttons are kept (through a CAN interface where the car needs one), and the unit has a reverse camera input and built-in GPS with offline maps for the roads where coverage disappears.
- Apple CarPlay & Android Auto — Wireless smartphone mirroring for maps, calls, music and messages on the main screen.
- Modern touchscreen — A crisp, responsive display replaces the dated factory unit: Bluetooth, USB and streaming built in.
- Clean, tidy install — Wiring loomed and hidden for a factory-style finish: no loose cables on show.
- Parking sensors — Front and/or rear sensors that warn you of obstacles you can’t see.
- Fitted in Dublin — Professionally installed and tested at our Dublin workshop, with a workmanship warranty.
Will it fit your Mercedes-Benz A Class A180?
Trim levels, factory amplifiers and the shape of the dash opening changed across model years, so the quickest check is a photo of your dashboard and steering wheel sent on WhatsApp with the registration. We confirm the exact kit, and whether a steering wheel interface or an amplifier adapter is needed, before you book. We have also coded the FM radio on a Mercedes-Benz A-Class for Irish frequencies.
