It depends on the generation. Mk2 (2006–2011): from €290; T6 (2011–2022): not available; T6.2 (2023 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Mk2, built 2006–2011 (6000CD radio, no screen): Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the 6000CD position on a double-DIN fascia, as the truck has no screen of its own. T6, built 2011–2022 (Radio with a 4.2-inch display or SYNC 1 on 2012–2015 trucks; SYNC 2 with an 8-inch touchscreen on the first 2016 builds, then SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, CarPlay after a software update and standard on later trucks): SYNC 3 trucks: a software update unlocks CarPlay and Android Auto on the 8-inch screen, or it is already there on later trucks; SYNC 2 trucks get a CarPlay box, 4.2-inch radio trucks the Android screen. T6.2, built 2023 on (SYNC 4 with a 10.1 or 12-inch portrait touchscreen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory): Factory wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on SYNC 4; we handle pairing, a second phone and map or region changes on imported trucks.

Mk2: two to three hours; T6: under an hour; T6.2: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Ranger in the morning and collect it the same day.

Mk2: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. T6: nothing physical changes — the Radio with a 4.2-inch display or SYNC 1 on 2012–2015 trucks; SYNC 2 with an 8-inch touchscreen on the first 2016 builds, then SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen, CarPlay after a software update and standard on later trucks stays and the CarPlay tile simply appears. T6.2: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
