Yes. The Q8 e-tron is the 2023 facelift of the GE e-tron with a new name, so the amplifier and subwoofer routes and the CarPlay setup are the same. The differences are in the MMI software, which is why the Q8 e-tron has wireless CarPlay as standard while most 2019–2022 cars connect with a cable.

It does. The Bang & Olufsen amplifier and all its speakers stay in place, and the DSP amplifier takes a signal from them so the added subwoofer blends with the factory system and the MMI sound settings still apply. We do not replace any speaker unless you ask for it.

The 2019–2022 GE, mostly 50 and 55 quattro cars, for subwoofers and wireless adapters. Q8 e-tron owners come for the same subwoofer job, and e-tron GT owners for a compact subwoofer in the rear boot. Every one of these is a 12-volt job, so the car does not need to go near a high-voltage specialist.

Subwoofer: DSP amplifier on the factory signal with a compact subwoofer, powered from the 12-volt side only. CarPlay: Factory CarPlay on every e-tron; wireless adapter, activation or import settings where needed. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired on the 12 V side with a cut-off for the small 12 V battery, parking mode included. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

Subwoofer: about half a day. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Most e-tron owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
