The 2019–2022 GE has the Audi smartphone interface on most cars, wired, so the usual job is a wireless adapter that pairs your phone on its own; where the interface was not ordered we can activate it by coding. The Q8 e-tron and later e-tron GT cars have wireless CarPlay from the factory, so we mostly fix pairing problems and settings on imported cars.

It depends on the generation. GE (2019–2022): from €150; GE facelift (2023 on): from €150; FW (2021 on): from €150. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

GE facelift, built 2023 on (MMI touch response on MIB3 with the Audi smartphone interface standard, wireless CarPlay on most cars): Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory; we deal with pairing and connection problems and with screen settings on imported cars. FW, built 2021 on (MMI touch with a 10.1-inch touchscreen (MIB3) and Virtual Cockpit; Audi smartphone interface standard, wireless on most later cars): Factory CarPlay and Android Auto, wired on early cars; a wireless adapter where wanted, and settings sorted on imported cars.

GE: under an hour; GE facelift: two to three hours; FW: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the e-tron in the morning and collect it the same day.

GE: nothing physical changes — the MMI touch response with two touchscreens, MIB2+ on most cars and MIB3 on later ones; Audi smartphone interface on most cars, wired; Bang & Olufsen optional stays and the CarPlay tile simply appears. GE facelift: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. FW: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
