On B8 cars with MMI 3G or 3G+ navigation a CarPlay box goes behind the dash and CarPlay and Android Auto appear on the factory screen, worked from the MMI knob, with the reversing camera through the same box if you want one. Cars with the Concert or Symphony radio and its small screen are usually better served by an Android screen in the factory position.
