Why a CarPlay box instead of a new screen for the Audi A5
On a car like the Audi A5, the factory infotainment is wired into everything — climate, vehicle settings, cameras, the drive-mode menus. Replacing it with an aftermarket screen means losing half of that and living with a fascia that never quite fits.

Will it work with my Audi A5 (2010–2012)?
It's made for the Audi A5 with the factory display, model years 2010–2012. Because factory options changed between builds, we always confirm against your make, model and year first — send it on WhatsApp and you'll have an answer the same day.
Is CarPlay wireless, or do I have to plug the phone in?
Wireless. The phone pairs once and connects by itself every time you get in. Android Auto works the same way, so passengers with either phone are covered.
Do I lose any of the car's original functions?
No. The module is an addition, not a replacement — the reversing camera, parking sensors, vehicle menus, steering-wheel controls and factory radio all stay exactly as they are. CarPlay becomes another source you switch to.
Can it be removed later?
Yes, and that's the point of doing it this way. Everything connects on factory plugs, so the car goes back to standard in minutes — handy before a trade-in or a main-dealer visit.
Can I watch YouTube or Netflix on it?
Video apps run through the box, and for obvious reasons they're for when the car is parked — the school run in the back seat, or waiting on a ferry. Navigation, music and calls are what it does on the move.
