Yes. On the 2017–2021 XC60 with Sensus Connect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were a paid option and many Irish cars were ordered without it. It is not a coding job on these cars, so the route is our wireless CarPlay box: it sits behind the portrait screen, shows CarPlay or Android Auto full-size on it and is driven by touch. The Sensus system stays exactly as it was.
Can a 2022 or newer XC60 with Google get wireless CarPlay?
Google built-in cars gained wired Apple CarPlay through a software update in 2022, so first we check the car has it. If it does, a small wireless adapter plugs into the USB port and your iPhone connects on its own. Android Auto is not part of these cars; Android phones use the built-in Google Maps, Assistant and Play apps instead.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Volvo XC60?
