The W447 from 2014 to 2019, nearly always for the 10.1-inch Android screen with CarPlay and a reversing camera in the same visit, on panel vans and Tourers alike. W639 vans and Viano still come in for a 9-inch screen. 2020-on MBUX vans come for the camera coded in and wireless CarPlay.

Yes. The V-Class is the passenger version of the same W447 van, with the same Audio 15 or Audio 40 to 2019 and MBUX from 2020, so the screen, camera and CarPlay routes are identical; the Viano is the same again on the W639. The only differences are the trim we take off to run the cables, and the Burmester option on some V-Class cars, which we keep.

W639 — 2003–2014 (Panel van, Dualiner crew van, Traveliner and Viano): Audio 20 radio or Audio 50 APS navigation in the double-DIN slot; COMAND APS on some Viano. W447 — 2014 on (Panel van, Mixto crew van, Tourer and V-Class): Audio 10 or Audio 15 with the 5.8-inch screen, Audio 40 with Garmin Map Pilot on some, to 2019; the 2020 facelift brought MBUX with the 7 or 10.25-inch touchscreen and CarPlay on most vans. Car radio: A 9-inch Android screen in a Vito fascia on the W639, a 10.1-inch screen on 2014–2019 W447 vans. Reversing camera: Camera on the Android screen or a mirror monitor on the W639, on the Audio 15 or coded into MBUX on the W447. CarPlay: An Android screen with wireless CarPlay on the W639 and 2014–2019 W447, wireless CarPlay on MBUX vans. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED strips in the cab doors and dash, colour from your phone. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four sensors in the rear bumper with a buzzer that beeps faster; sound only. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat subwoofer with its own amplifier, nothing in the load area. Soundproofing: Cab doors, floor and bulkhead treated; load area on request.

Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Vito owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
