The 2014–2019 AZ10, nearly all NX 300h hybrids, for a CarPlay box behind the factory screen or an Android screen in its place. 2020 and 2021 cars come for a wireless adapter for the factory CarPlay, and AZ20 owners for a wireless adapter for Android Auto, a dash cam or map and region changes on an import.

Yes. The box sits behind the factory display and plugs into the existing connectors, so the factory camera, the parking sensors display, the Remote Touch pad and the steering-wheel buttons all carry on as before; CarPlay appears as an extra source you switch to. Nothing is cut, and the car can go back to standard with no trace if you ever sell it.

AZ10 — 2014–2017: Lexus Display Audio 7-inch with the Remote Touch pad, or Premium Navigation 8-inch; no CarPlay. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most NX owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
