The Lexus RX (2019–2022) gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its factory screen through a plug-in interface fitted behind the original display: no wires are cut, camera and steering wheel buttons keep working, and the car can go back to stock. What was fitted on this Lexus RX
A wireless CarPlay interface went in behind the factory Lexus Media Display, so the original screen, radio, settings and steering wheel buttons all work exactly as before, and the module adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as one more source on the same screen. Nothing on the car was cut: the interface plugs into the existing connectors, and if it is ever removed the Lexus RX returns to stock with no trace.

Fitting at our workshop in Dublin 11 is a single visit of a few hours, so the car is back with you the same day, with CarPlay and Android Auto paired and tested in the car. Every interface carries a one-year warranty and after-sale support from the people who installed it. If the factory unit has no screen at all, the alternative is an Android head unit with CarPlay built in.
