It depends on the year. The first ES 300h cars sold here in 2018 and 2019 have the 8 or 12.3-inch Remote Touch screen without CarPlay or Android Auto; Lexus added both for the 2020 model year, and the 2021 facelift with the touchscreen has them built in. On a 2018–2019 car a CarPlay box behind the factory screen adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto with nothing cut.
Can the wired CarPlay on a newer ES be made wireless?
Yes. On 2020 and later cars the factory CarPlay is wired through the USB port, and a small wireless adapter plugs into that port and pairs with your phone, so it connects on its own when you get in. It is a ten-minute job and leaves the car standard. On imported cars we also sort the region and map settings on the factory unit at the same visit.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Lexus ES?
It depends on the generation. XZ10 (2018–2021): from €250; XZ10 (2021 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
Which Lexus ES years can have CarPlay?

XZ10: two to four hours; XZ10: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the ES in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit CarPlay on a Lexus ES?
XZ10: the 8-inch or 12.3-inch Lexus Navigation with the Remote Touch pad; CarPlay and Android Auto on 2020 and later cars, not on the first cars and its controls stay; the box sits behind the trim and is switched from the factory buttons. XZ10: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
Do I need to book CarPlay for my Lexus ES, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (XZ10) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
