Radio King upgrades the BMW 4 Series by generation: the F32 gets CarPlay by coding on NBT Evo or a box on 2013–2016 NBT cars, plus a 10.25-inch Android screen if you want a bigger display; the G22 already has CarPlay, so there the work is ambient light, subwoofers, cameras and dash cams. Only for the rear dash cam and the subwoofer: on the F33 and G23 the rear camera mounts on the rear screen frame rather than the headliner, and the subwoofer goes under the seats because the boot is taken by the roof. Screens, CarPlay and lighting are the same as on the coupé.

What does Radio King fit on a BMW 4 Series?
CarPlay: Coding activation on the F32 with NBT Evo, a CarPlay box on 2013–2016 NBT cars, factory CarPlay on the G22. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kit on the F32, extended ambient lighting on the G22. Subwoofer: Under-seat subwoofers on a DSP amplifier, nothing in the boot of the coupé. Car radio: A 10.25-inch Android screen with the iDrive knob and Harman Kardon kept on the F32. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and under-seat woofers for the Stereo and Hi-Fi systems. Dash cam: Hardwired from the glovebox fuse panel with parking mode and a BMW-safe cut-off. Reversing camera: Factory camera coded into iDrive on the F32 and G22. Parking sensors: Four sensors in the rear bumper with a buzzer that beeps faster; sound only. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a BMW 4 Series take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Subwoofer: about half a day. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Most 4 Series owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a BMW 4 Series?
F32 / F33 / F36: the Business 6.5-inch or Professional 8.8-inch screen: NBT to 2016, NBT Evo (ID5/ID6) from 2017 stays and we add to it. G22 / G23 / G26: the iDrive 7 (ID7); iDrive 8.5 from the 2024 facelift; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
