Not by coding — 2013 to 2016 cars have NBT, which never had CarPlay in the software. Those get a CarPlay box that shows CarPlay and Android Auto on the factory screen, controlled from the iDrive knob. From 2017 the F32 has NBT Evo and activation is usually possible in under an hour. Send the reg and we check for free.
How much does CarPlay cost on a BMW 4 Series?
It depends on the generation. F32 / F33 / F36 (2013–2020): from €250; G22 / G23 / G26 (2020 on): from €450. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
Which BMW 4 Series years can have CarPlay?

What stays factory when you fit CarPlay on a BMW 4 Series?
F32 / F33 / F36: nothing physical changes — the Business 6.5-inch or Professional 8.8-inch screen: NBT to 2016, NBT Evo (ID5/ID6) from 2017 stays and the CarPlay tile simply appears. G22 / G23 / G26: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
Do I need to book CarPlay for my BMW 4 Series, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (F32 and G22) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
