Most F3 cars sold here have the Audi smartphone interface, wired, so the usual job is a wireless adapter that pairs your phone on its own. If the icon is missing, the interface was not ordered and is switched off in the head unit; we enable it by coding with no parts. Send the reg and we check which case yours is.
What are the CarPlay options on a Q3 8U?
Two. Cars with MMI navigation plus take a CarPlay box behind the dash that feeds CarPlay and Android Auto into the factory screen, worked from the MMI knob. Cars with the Concert or Chorus radio have no usable video input, so there an Android screen goes into the factory position with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, a camera input and the steering-wheel buttons kept.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Audi Q3?
It depends on the generation. 8U (2011–2018): from €500; F3 (2018–2025): from €250; FJ (2025 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

FJ: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
