Our wireless CarPlay box. It sits behind the 7-inch Sensus Connect screen and shows CarPlay or Android Auto on it full-size, controlled from the Sensus buttons and the steering wheel, with the phone connecting wirelessly each time you get in. The Sensus menus stay as they were and the car goes back to standard if the box is ever removed. A similar box fits earlier 7-inch cars.
Does the 2019-on V60 have CarPlay from the factory?
Only if it was ordered. On 2018–2021 Sensus Connect cars CarPlay and Android Auto were a wired option, and we fit the box on cars without it and a wireless adapter on cars with it. Google built-in cars from 2022 gained wired CarPlay through a software update, so those get the adapter once we confirm the update is on the car; Android Auto is not offered on them.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Volvo V60?
It depends on the generation. P3 (2010–2018): from €500; Sensus SPA (2018–2021): from €500; Google SPA (2021 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
