Radio King adds CarPlay to the Porsche 911: the 997 gets our wireless CarPlay and Android Auto interface behind the PCM screen, the 991 gets the same on PCM 3.1 or a module that makes PCM 4.0 wireless with Android Auto, and the 992 has it built in. Send your reg and we confirm the route.

The 997 from 2006 to 2011, for the wireless CarPlay interface behind the PCM screen, followed by 991.1 cars with PCM 3.1. Later 991.2 and early 992 cars come in to make the factory CarPlay wireless and add Android Auto. GTS and Turbo cars are the same job as the Carrera.
Does the kit fit a Targa or Cabriolet?
Yes. The dashboard and PCM are the same across Coupé, Targa and Cabriolet of the same generation, so the interface or module fits the same way and takes the same few hours, with the car back the same day and CarPlay paired and tested before you leave.
Do you fit parking sensors or cameras on a 911?
Yes. Sensors colour-matched to the bumper with a factory-style tone, and a reversing camera shown on the PCM screen through the interface on 997 and 991 cars or coded in on the 992. We have done front sensors on a 991 Carrera GTS, where the low nose earns them. Ask when you send the reg.

What does Radio King fit on a Porsche 911?
CarPlay: Interface on the PCM screen of 997 and 991.1 cars, a wireless module on PCM 4.0, factory CarPlay on the 992. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a Porsche 911 take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most 911 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a Porsche 911?
997: the PCM 2.1 to 2008; PCM 3.0 with a touchscreen on 997.2 cars from 2009; CDR radio without a screen on base cars stays and we add to it. 991: the PCM 3.1 with a 7-inch touchscreen on 991.1 cars; PCM 4.0 with wired CarPlay on 991.2 cars from around 2016 stays and we add to it. 992: the PCM 5.0 with a 10.9-inch screen and wired CarPlay; PCM 6.0 with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the 2022 model year stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
