The 971 from 2017 to 2021 with PCM 4.0, for the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto module, then 970 cars for the interface on PCM 3.1. Saloon and Sport Turismo are the same job. The 972 has everything wireless from the factory, so it comes in for dash cams and set-up on imported cars.
Does the E-Hybrid need anything different?
Only for power. On E-Hybrid cars any dash cam or accessory feed is taken from the 12 V fuse box in the cabin with a low-voltage cut-off and never from the high-voltage side. The CarPlay module and the interface plug into the PCM connectors in the same way as on the petrol and diesel cars.

What does Radio King fit on a Porsche Panamera?
CarPlay: Interface on PCM 3.0 and 3.1 in the 970, our wireless module on PCM 4.0 in the 971, factory in the 972. Car radio: Android screen in the PCM position on the 970 with Bose kept; most owners add the interface instead. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a Porsche Panamera take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Panamera owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a Porsche Panamera?
970: the PCM 3.0 with a 7-inch touchscreen on the first cars; PCM 3.1 from 2011 on most, kept through the 2013 facelift stays and we add to it. 971: the PCM 4.0 with a 12.3-inch touchscreen and wired CarPlay; PCM 6.0 with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the 2022 model year stays and we add to it. 972: the PCM 6.0 with a 12.3-inch touchscreen and an optional passenger display; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
