Radio King upgrades the Porsche Cayenne: 9PA cars get a CarPlay interface on the PCM 2.1 screen or an Android screen where there is none, 92A cars get the interface on PCM 3.1, and the 9Y0 has CarPlay from the factory, so we add Android Auto and cameras. Send your reg and we confirm the route.

The 92A from 2010 to 2017, nearly always for the CarPlay interface on PCM 3.1, often with a reversing camera fed through the same unit. 9PA owners split between the interface on PCM 2.1 and an Android screen on CDR cars. The 9Y0 comes in for Android Auto on PCM 5.0 and for cameras and dash cams.
Does the E-Hybrid change anything for fitting?
Only the power feed. On the E-Hybrid we take dash cam and accessory power from the 12 V fuse box in the cabin with a low-voltage cut-off and never go near the high-voltage side. The interface, cameras and screens plug into the PCM connectors in the same way as on the petrol and diesel cars.
How long is a Cayenne in the workshop?
The CarPlay interface is a few hours, so the car is back the same day with CarPlay paired and tested. An Android screen or a camera with a tailgate loom is closer to half a day. You can wait at the Dublin 11 workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it in the afternoon.

What does Radio King fit on a Porsche Cayenne?
CarPlay: Interface on the PCM screen of 9PA and 92A cars, factory CarPlay on the 9Y0, Android Auto added on PCM 5.0. Car radio: Android screen with the Bose amplifier kept on the 9PA and in the PCM position on the 92A. Reversing camera: Tailgate camera through the interface or on the Android screen on older cars, coded into PCM on the 9Y0. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a Porsche Cayenne take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Cayenne owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a Porsche Cayenne?
9PA: the CDR radio or PCM 2.0 on early cars; PCM 2.1 with a 6.5-inch screen on most 2007 to 2010 cars stays and we add to it. 92A: the PCM 3.1 with a 7-inch touchscreen, CDR-31 radio on base cars; no CarPlay on any year stays and we add to it. 9Y0: the PCM 5.0 with a 12.3-inch screen and wired CarPlay; PCM 6.0 from 2021 with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
