Yes, on 2007 to 2017 cars. The interface goes behind the PCM 2.1 or PCM 3.1 unit and adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto as another source on the factory screen; the radio, navigation, buttons and camera all work as before and the car can go back to standard. 9PA cars with the CDR radio have no screen to use, so those get an Android screen instead. Send the reg and a photo of the screen.
Does the 9Y0 need anything for Android Auto?
Cars from 2018 to 2021 with PCM 5.0 have wired CarPlay only. A module behind the screen adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto without changing the factory look. From 2021 PCM 6.0 has both wireless from the factory, so those cars only come in for pairing faults or for maps and region on imported cars.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Porsche Cayenne?
It depends on the generation. 9PA (2002–2010): from €700; 92A (2010–2017): from €700; 9Y0 (2018 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
