Generation for generation, yes: the L550 shares its InControl Touch, Touch Pro and Pivi Pro systems with the Evoque of the same years, so the CarPlay box, the software unlock and the camera routes are identical. Only trim and tailgate details differ, and the seven-seat Discovery Sport has a little more cable to run.

Yes. The CarPlay box and the camera use the car's own inputs, and the amplifier is never touched, so Meridian and standard cars keep every speaker. Nothing is cut, and the car goes back to standard if it is returned at the end of a lease or a PCP.

CarPlay: Wireless box on 2015–2019 InControl cars without CarPlay, wireless adapter on facelift cars that have it. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera in the tailgate handle coded into InControl or Pivi Pro, or through the CarPlay box. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Discovery Sport owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
