FD, built 2007–2012 (CD radio with no screen; Bluetooth on later cars, factory navigation rare): Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto through an Android screen in the original radio slot, the only route on the FD. GD, built 2012–2017 (Radio with a small display, Bluetooth and USB on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on higher trims, without CarPlay): Android screen with wireless CarPlay in place of the original radio; on cars with the 7-inch navigation a CarPlay interface on the original screen is sometimes possible, checked by reg. PD, built 2017 on (5-inch display audio without CarPlay on base 2017–2020 cars; 8-inch navigation with CarPlay and Android Auto on most; 8-inch display audio with wireless CarPlay or 10.25-inch navigation after the 2020 facelift): Cars with the 8 or 10.25-inch factory screen already have CarPlay, wired on the navigation, so they get a wireless adapter; base 2017–2020 cars with the 5-inch display audio get an Android screen with wireless CarPlay.

FD: two to three hours; GD: two to four hours; PD: two to three hours. You can wait at the workshop or drop the i30 in the morning and collect it the same day.
