FD, built 2007–2012 (CD radio with no screen; Bluetooth on later cars, factory navigation rare): 9-inch Android screen with a fascia for the FD dashboard replacing the CD radio; DAB, Bluetooth, USB and a camera input added, steering-wheel buttons kept. GD, built 2012–2017 (Radio with a small display, Bluetooth and USB on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on higher trims, without CarPlay): The i30-specific Android screen from our shop, replacing the radio on 2012–2016 GD cars; fascia matched to the dashboard, steering buttons, USB and the factory microphone kept, DAB and a camera input added. PD, built 2017 on (5-inch display audio without CarPlay on base 2017–2020 cars; 8-inch navigation with CarPlay and Android Auto on most; 8-inch display audio with wireless CarPlay or 10.25-inch navigation after the 2020 facelift): 9-inch Android screen replacing the 5-inch display audio on base 2017–2020 PD cars, fascia matched to the dashboard; steering buttons and USB kept, DAB added.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Hyundai i30 FD, GD and PD. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

On every i30 we work on — FD, GD and PD — the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and speakers, the reverse camera and the climate controls stay; the new unit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input.
