FD, built 2007–2012 (CD radio with no screen; Bluetooth on later cars, factory navigation rare): Ambient LED strips in the doors and dashboard trim, colour and brightness from your phone, wired on a fused feed; the CD radio untouched. GD, built 2012–2017 (Radio with a small display, Bluetooth and USB on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on higher trims, without CarPlay): Ambient LED strips in the doors and dashboard trim, colour and brightness from your phone, wired on a fused feed; the Radio untouched. PD, built 2017 on (5-inch display audio without CarPlay on base 2017–2020 cars; 8-inch navigation with CarPlay and Android Auto on most; 8-inch display audio with wireless CarPlay or 10.25-inch navigation after the 2020 facelift): Extended ambient lighting — footwells, door pockets and centre console — added alongside the factory strip, controlled from your phone; the 5-inch display audio without CarPlay untouched.

On every i30 we work on — FD, GD and PD — the kit runs off a fused feed and the factory ambient lighting stays; colour and brightness are set from your phone.
