It depends on the generation. Mk6 (2000–2006): from €199; Mk7 (2006–2014): from €199; Mk8 (2014 on): from €199. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Mk6, built 2000–2006 (4000RDS or 6000CD radio in a single-DIN slot, no screen): Rear sensors in the bumper, or on a sensor bar under it on chassis cabs, with a buzzer in the cab. Mk7, built 2006–2014 (6000CD radio, with Bluetooth, USB and voice control on many 2011–2014 vans; no screen): Rear sensors colour-matched or in black to suit the bumper, with a cab buzzer; front sensors fitted where the fleet needs them. Mk8, built 2014 on (SYNC 1 with a 4-inch display on 2014–2016 vans, SYNC 3 with a 6-inch touchscreen from 2016, an 8-inch SYNC 3 with CarPlay from the factory from the 2019 facelift, and SYNC 4 with a 12-inch screen from 2024; fleet vans often have the basic radio with a 4-inch display): Rear sensors added to base vans and coded to the SYNC display where the van supports it; front sensors for long-wheelbase and Luton bodies.

Two to three hours for one end, about half a day for front and rear on the Ford Transit Mk6, Mk7 and Mk8. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

On every Transit we work on — Mk6, Mk7 and Mk8 — sensors are colour-matched to the bumper and use a factory-style tone; where the car supports it they are coded into the display.
