Yes. The Cupra versions of the 5F and the 2020-on Cupra Leon share the dashboard and Media System units with the SEAT Leon of the same year, so activation, cameras, sensors and lighting follow the same routes. Send the reg and we confirm which unit the car has before you book.

No. On 5F SEAT Sound cars and KL Beats Audio cars the factory amplifier and subwoofer stay; an Android screen or extra speakers are fed through the factory signal path. The standard system is where a speaker upgrade makes the biggest difference.

1P — 2005–2012: SEAT Alana or Aura CD radio on early cars; SEAT Sound System, Media System 2.2 or 3.2 after the 2009 facelift. 5F — 2012–2020 (five-door, SC three-door and ST estate): Media System Touch or Media System Plus (MIB1) to 2015; 6.5 and 8-inch Media System Plus or Navi System (MIB2) with Full Link on later cars and the 2017 facelift. KL — 2020 on (five-door and Sportstourer estate): 8.25-inch Media System or 10-inch Navi System (MIB3) with wireless Full Link on most cars, Digital Cockpit standard. Not sure? CarPlay: Leon Android screen on the 1P and early 5F, Full Link coding on MIB2 5F cars, factory wireless on the KL. Ambient lighting: Factory ambient light extended on the 5F and KL, full LED kit on the 1P and cars without it. Reversing camera: Badge camera coded into the Media System on the 5F and KL, Android screen or mirror monitor on the 1P. Car radio: Leon-specific Android screen for the 1P and 5F with DAB, camera input and steering-wheel control. Parking sensors: Park Pilot coded into the Media System on the 5F and KL, colour-matched sensors on the 1P. Speakers: Plug-in door components on every Leon; SEAT Sound and Beats Audio cars keep their amplifier. Dash cam: Hardwired from the driver's-side dash fuse panel with a cut-off; e-Hybrid on the 12 V side. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Most Leon owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
