If it is a later 5F or a 2017 facelift with the 8-inch Media System Plus or Navi System, it is a MIB2 unit and Full Link is usually in the software, so we enable it by coding in about an hour. 2012 to 2015 cars with Media System Touch or the first Plus unit never had it, so those get our Leon Android screen. Yes. The 2014 5F has Media System Touch or the MIB1 Media System Plus, neither of which can be coded for Full Link, so the route is the Leon Android screen: a larger display in the factory position with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input, with the steering-wheel buttons and Climatronic display kept. That is the job we do most on the 5F.

It depends on the generation. 1P (2005–2012): not available; 5F (2012–2020): from €250; KL (2020 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

1P, built 2005–2012 (SEAT Alana or Aura CD radio on early cars; SEAT Sound System, Media System 2.2 or 3.2 after the 2009 facelift): Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the factory radio opening; Media System 3.2 cars can keep the factory unit and take a CarPlay interface. 5F, built 2012–2020 (Media System Touch or Media System Plus (MIB1) to 2015; 6.5 and 8-inch Media System Plus or Navi System (MIB2) with Full Link on later cars and the 2017 facelift): Leon Android screen on 2012–2015 cars with Media System Touch or the MIB1 Plus unit; Full Link activation by coding on MIB2 cars from the 2015 update where it was not ordered, plus a wireless adapter. KL, built 2020 on (8.25-inch Media System or 10-inch Navi System (MIB3) with wireless Full Link on most cars, Digital Cockpit standard): Factory Full Link, wireless on most cars: a wireless adapter for the wired 8.25-inch Media System, connection faults and map or region changes on imports.

1P: two to four hours; 5F: under an hour; KL: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Leon in the morning and collect it the same day.

1P: the SEAT Alana or Aura CD radio on early cars; SEAT Sound System, Media System 2.2 or 3.2 after the 2009 facelift and its controls stay; the box sits behind the trim and is switched from the factory buttons. 5F: nothing physical changes — the Media System Touch or Media System Plus (MIB1) to 2015; 6.5 and 8-inch Media System Plus or Navi System (MIB2) with Full Link on later cars and the 2017 facelift stays and the CarPlay tile simply appears. KL: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
