FAQ
SEAT Leon ambient lighting: questions people ask.
Answers for Leon owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.
Ask on WhatsAppCan you extend the ambient lighting in a Leon FR?
Yes. 5F FR and Xcellence cars have a factory light line in the doors and the KL has the wraparound dash light; we add footwell and door-pocket lighting that follows the same colour, and on the KL it matches the multi-colour system. SE cars and every 1P get a full LED kit with colour and brightness from your phone.
How much does ambient lighting cost on a SEAT Leon?
It depends on the generation. 1P (2005–2012): from €800; 5F (2012–2020): from €800; KL (2020 on): from €800. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
Which SEAT Leon years can have ambient lighting?
1P, built 2005–2012 (SEAT Alana or Aura CD radio on early cars; SEAT Sound System, Media System 2.2 or 3.2 after the 2009 facelift): Ambient LED strips in the door cards and footwells with app control. 5F, built 2012–2020 (Media System Touch or Media System Plus (MIB1) to 2015; 6.5 and 8-inch Media System Plus or Navi System (MIB2) with Full Link on later cars and the 2017 facelift): Extends the factory door ambient light on FR and Xcellence cars to the footwells and dash; full LED kit on cars without it. KL, built 2020 on (8.25-inch Media System or 10-inch Navi System (MIB3) with wireless Full Link on most cars, Digital Cockpit standard): Extended ambient lighting in the footwells and door pockets matched to the factory wraparound light on FR and Xcellence cars.
How long does ambient lighting take on a SEAT Leon?
Two to four hours on the SEAT Leon 1P, 5F and KL. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit ambient lighting on a SEAT Leon?
On every Leon we work on — 1P, 5F and KL — the kit runs off a fused feed and the factory ambient lighting stays; colour and brightness are set from your phone.
Do I need to book ambient lighting for my SEAT Leon, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (1P, 5F and KL) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
