2019 and 2020 cars on the 8-inch MIB2 unit, for Full Link activation and a wireless adapter, and imported cars from the 2020 update that need the map region changed. It is the same head unit family as the Tiguan Allspace of the same years, so the routes match.

Not for CarPlay: the Media System is the same and the coding is identical. Anything else we add to an e-Hybrid is wired on the 12 V side, never from the high-voltage system, so the factory hybrid battery and its warranty are not touched.

KN2 — 2019–2020: 8-inch Media System Plus or Navi System (MIB2) with Full Link on most cars; wired by design. CarPlay: Full Link coding and wireless adapters on early MIB2 cars, factory wireless CarPlay from the 2020 update. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Tarraco owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
