Renault Megane upgrades, generation by generation.

The Megane III and Fluence from 2008 to 2016, nearly always for an Android screen with CarPlay because the radio or Carminat has no phone mirroring, and the Megane IV with the 7-inch R-Link 2 for the same reason. Megane II owners come for the double-DIN screen, and the E-Tech Electric mostly for better door speakers.

Yes. The Fluence is the saloon version of the Megane III with the same dash, radios and door layout, so the same Android screen, fascia and speaker adapters fit. The Grand Scenic and Scenic of the same years share the head units too, though the dash shape is different and takes its own unit.

An Android screen is about half a day, a speaker upgrade two to three hours, and both together a full day. You can wait at the Dublin 11 workshop for the speakers or drop the car in the morning for a screen; either way it is ready the same day.

Car radio: An Android screen with a fascia kit on the Mk2 and Mk3, in place of R-Link 2 or Media Nav on the Mk4. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters on every generation; Bose and Harman Kardon amplifiers kept. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. CarPlay: Android screen on cars without a usable screen, a CarPlay box or activation on cars with one. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired on the 12 V side with a cut-off for the small 12 V battery, parking mode included. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Speakers: two to four hours depending on how many speakers are changed. Reversing camera: two to three hours. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Most Megane owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
