Renault Megane Android screen & radio upgrade, generation by generation.

All of the ones without phone mirroring: the plain CD radio and Carminat on the Megane II, the radio, Carminat TomTom and R-Link on the Megane III and Fluence, and the 7-inch R-Link 2 or Media Nav on the Megane IV. Each takes a car-specific Android unit with its own fascia, so the steering-column stalk keeps working and the dash looks factory. The 8.7-inch portrait screen and Easy Link stay.

Yes. On cars with the 7-inch R-Link 2 the climate settings show on the new screen through the CAN adapter, the parking-sensor tone and distance display carry over, and the stalk works as before. On 2020-on cars with Easy Link there is CarPlay already and a wireless adapter is the sensible upgrade rather than a new screen. Send the reg and we confirm which screen your car has.

It depends on the generation. Mk2 (2002–2009): from €290; Mk3 (2008–2016): from €290; Mk4 (2016–2022): from €290. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Mk2, built 2002–2009 (Renault CD radio without a screen (Update List); Carminat navigation on a few cars): Double-DIN Android screen with a Megane II fascia kit: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, camera input, steering-column stalk kept. Mk3, built 2008–2016 (Renault radio without a screen on most cars, Carminat TomTom on Dynamique trims, R-Link 7-inch from the 2014 facelift): Android screen in the radio, Carminat or R-Link position with the right fascia: DAB, camera input and the stalk kept; the Fluence takes the same unit. Mk4, built 2016–2022 (R-Link 2 7-inch landscape or 8.7-inch portrait, Media Nav on entry cars; Easy Link 9.3-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto from the 2020 facelift): Android screen in place of the 7-inch R-Link 2 or Media Nav, climate display and stalk kept; 8.7-inch portrait and Easy Link cars keep the factory screen.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Renault Megane Mk2, Mk3 and Mk4. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
