Peugeot · 3008

Peugeot 3008 upgrades, generation by generation.

Radio King upgrades the Peugeot 3008 by generation: the T84 gets a CarPlay box on its SMEG+ touchscreen or an Android screen on RD4 and RD45 cars, while the P84 and P64 have CarPlay from the factory, so the work is wireless adapters, cameras, front sensors, dash cams and ambient light. Send your reg and we confirm the route.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which Peugeot 3008 do you see most in the workshop?

The T84 from 2009 to 2016 for CarPlay, mainly 2014 to 2016 cars on SMEG+ that take the box, and RD45 cars that take the Android screen. P84 owners from 2017 come for wireless adapters, front sensors, dash cams and reversing cameras. The P64 is still new, and the work there is dash cams and ambient light.

Is the 3008 Hybrid any different to work on?

Only for the dash cam wiring. On the Hybrid and Hybrid4 P84 and on the E-3008 the camera is hardwired to the 12 V battery with a cut-off set for it, and we never touch the orange high-voltage cables. CarPlay, cameras, sensors and lighting are the same job as on a petrol or diesel car of the same generation at our Dublin 11 workshop.

Which Peugeot 3008 generation do I have?

T84 — 2009–2016: RD4 or RD45 radio with a small display; RT6 navigation with a 7-inch colour display on some cars; 7-inch SMEG+ touchscreen from the 2014 facelift; no CarPlay on any of them. P84 — 2017–2024: i-Cockpit with an 8-inch touchscreen (RCC or NAC), 10-inch from the 2020 facelift; wired CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most trims. P64 — 2024 on: Panoramic i-Cockpit with a 21-inch curved display and i-Connect Advanced; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.

What does Radio King fit on a Peugeot 3008?

CarPlay: A CarPlay box on SMEG+ and RT6 cars, an Android screen on RD4 cars, a wireless adapter on the P84. Car radio: A 3008-specific Android screen replaces the RD4 or RD45 radio on the T84; later cars keep their screen. Parking sensors: Colour-matched front or rear sensors with a factory-style tone; front sensors are the usual P84 job. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kit on the T84, extended ambient lighting alongside the factory strip on the P84 and P64. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with a low-voltage cut-off; 12 V side only on the Hybrid and E-3008. Reversing camera: Camera on the SMEG+ or RT6 display through an interface on the T84, on the i-Cockpit screen on the P84. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

How long do jobs on a Peugeot 3008 take?

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Parking sensors: two to three hours for one end, about half a day for front and rear. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most 3008 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Do you keep the factory system on a Peugeot 3008?

T84: the RD4 or RD45 radio with a small display; RT6 navigation with a 7-inch colour display on some cars; 7-inch SMEG+ touchscreen from the 2014 facelift; no CarPlay on any of them stays and we add to it. P84: the i-Cockpit with an 8-inch touchscreen (RCC or NAC), 10-inch from the 2020 facelift; wired CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most trims stays and we add to it. P64: the Panoramic i-Cockpit with a 21-inch curved display and i-Connect Advanced; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
