Mitsubishi · L200

Mitsubishi L200 upgrades, generation by generation.

Radio King upgrades the Mitsubishi L200 by generation: the K74 gets an Android screen in a double-DIN fascia, the KB4T Series 4 an Android screen in place of the CD radio or Barbarian nav, and the Series 5 and 6 an Android screen or, on SDA trucks with CarPlay, a wireless adapter. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.

FAQ

Mitsubishi L200: questions people ask.

Answers for L200 owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which L200 do you see most?

Series 5 from 2015 to 2019, split between Titan and early Warrior cabs that want an Android screen and SDA cabs that want a wireless CarPlay adapter. Series 4 trucks come for the same screen, often with a camera for a canopy, and the odd K74 still turns up for a double-DIN conversion.

What is the difference between Series 5 and Series 6?

Series 6 is the 2019 facelift of the Series 5 with the 2.2 engine and a new front end; the cab and the radio opening are the same, and most Series 6 cabs have the SDA touchscreen with CarPlay. For our work they are one generation: SDA cabs get a wireless adapter, cabs without it an Android screen.

Does a camera work with a canopy on an L200?

Yes. With a canopy the camera goes on the canopy door rather than the tailgate, so it sees past the door when closed, and the cable runs through the canopy grommet into the chassis loom. Open-bed trucks get the camera in the tailgate handle recess. Either way the picture comes up on the Android screen in reverse.

Which Mitsubishi L200 generation do I have?

K74 — 1996–2006: Radio-cassette or CD radio in a single-DIN slot with a pocket beneath on most cabs; no factory screen. KB4T — 2006–2015: Mitsubishi CD radio on Titan and Warrior; a touchscreen nav, MMCS or a Kenwood unit fitted by the importer, on Barbarian and some Warrior cabs. KK/KL — 2015–2021: DAB radio with a display on Titan; touchscreen on Warrior and Barbarian, SDA with CarPlay and Android Auto from around 2017 and on the 2019 Series 6. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.

What does Radio King fit on a Mitsubishi L200?

Car radio: Android screen with an L200 fascia on the K74, Series 4, 5 and 6; SDA cabs keep the factory unit. CarPlay: Android screen on the K74, Series 4 and early Series 5; wireless adapter on SDA cabs with CarPlay. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED strips in the cab doors and dash, colour from your phone. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat subwoofer with its own amplifier, nothing in the load area. Soundproofing: Cab doors, floor and bulkhead treated; load area on request.

How long do jobs on a Mitsubishi L200 take?

Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most L200 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Do you keep the factory system on a Mitsubishi L200?

K74: the Radio-cassette or CD radio in a single-DIN slot with a pocket beneath on most cabs; no factory screen stays and we add to it. KB4T: the Mitsubishi CD radio on Titan and Warrior; a touchscreen nav, MMCS or a Kenwood unit fitted by the importer, on Barbarian and some Warrior cabs stays and we add to it. KK/KL: the DAB radio with a display on Titan; touchscreen on Warrior and Barbarian, SDA with CarPlay and Android Auto from around 2017 and on the 2019 Series 6 stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.

How do I book a Mitsubishi L200 in, and is there a warranty?

Send the reg or the year on WhatsApp or the form below and we confirm the generation, the route, the price and the next free slot. Every job carries a one-year warranty on the work, done at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
