On a panel van the camera sits in the rear-door handle or in a bracket above the doors, with a wide lens for the high roof; box bodies and chassis cabs get a bracket camera on the rear frame. On a W906 the picture shows on the Android screen, on the Audio 15 if the van has the camera-ready unit, or on a mirror monitor; on a W907 it goes into the MBUX screen.

Yes. On vans that left the factory without the camera we fit the Mercedes camera in the rear-door handle and code it into MBUX, so it comes up in reverse with guidelines like a factory van. Where the van has an aftermarket camera already, or a trailer camera, it goes through an interface onto the same screen. Vans with the basic radio get a separate monitor.

T1N, built 1995–2006 (Sound 5 or Sound 30 single-DIN radio, no screen): Wide-angle camera above the rear doors shown on a mirror monitor, or on the new Android screen if we fit one; a bracket camera for chassis-cab and box bodies. W906, built 2006–2018 (Audio 10 or Audio 15 radio in the double-DIN slot; Audio 40 with Becker Map Pilot on some 2013 facelift vans; no CarPlay on any): Camera in the rear-door handle or above the doors shown on the new Android screen, on the Audio 15 where the van has the camera-ready unit, or on a mirror monitor; guidelines set for the long-wheelbase. W907 / W910, built 2018 on (Basic radio without a screen on some vans, MBUX with a 7 or 10.25-inch touchscreen on most; CarPlay and Android Auto on MBUX): Factory camera in the rear-door handle coded into MBUX on vans that came without it, or an aftermarket camera on the MBUX screen through an interface; a separate monitor for vans with the basic radio.
