Radio King does head unit upgrade on every Mercedes-Benz B-Class generation we see: W245 (2005–2011): Car-specific Android screen replacing the Audio 20 CD radio or Audio 50 APS navigation in the double-DIN: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, camera input, steering-wheel buttons kept; W246 (2011–2018): Larger Android screen in place of the Audio 20, keeping the steering-wheel buttons, the climate display and the factory amplifier where fitted; W247 (2019 on): The MBUX (NTG6) usually stays — CarPlay is built in; we fit an Android screen only where the factory display has failed or is too small, keeping the factory controls. How long does car radio take on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class?
Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245, W246 and W247. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit car radio on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class?
On every B-Class we work on — W245, W246 and W247 — the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and speakers, the reverse camera and the climate controls stay; the new unit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input.
