Ask on WhatsAppCan you extend the factory ambient lighting on a W177 A-Class?
Yes. The W177 has 64-colour ambient lighting in the dash and doors from the factory, but the footwells, door pockets and console are usually dark. We add strips there that follow the factory colour and dim with it. On a W176 the factory strip is single-line and 12-colour, so most owners have us fit a full kit in the doors and dashboard instead.
My W169 A-Class has no ambient lighting at all — what fits?
An LED kit in the door cards and along the dashboard trim, with the colour and brightness set from your phone. It runs from the ignition-switched supply, so it comes on with the car and never drains the battery. The strips are tucked into the trim gaps and look factory once the panels are back on.
How much does ambient lighting cost on a Mercedes-Benz A-Class?
It depends on the generation. W169 (2004–2012): from €800; W176 (2012–2018): from €800; W177 (2018 on): from €800. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
