Yes. The W177 has 64-colour ambient lighting in the dash and doors from the factory, but the footwells, door pockets and console are usually dark. We add strips there that follow the factory colour and dim with it. On a W176 the factory strip is single-line and 12-colour, so most owners have us fit a full kit in the doors and dashboard instead.

An LED kit in the door cards and along the dashboard trim, with the colour and brightness set from your phone. It runs from the ignition-switched supply, so it comes on with the car and never drains the battery. The strips are tucked into the trim gaps and look factory once the panels are back on.

It depends on the generation. W169 (2004–2012): from €799; W176 (2012–2018): from €799; W177 (2018 on): from €799. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

W169, built 2004–2012 (Audio 20 CD radio or Audio 50 APS navigation in the double-DIN slot; COMAND APS on a few cars): Ambient LED strips in the door cards and along the dashboard trim, colour and brightness from your phone. W176, built 2012–2018 (Audio 20 on NTG4.5 with the 5.8 or 7-inch screen; the 2015 facelift brought the 8-inch display, and CarPlay was an option on some cars from 2016): Ambient LED kit in the doors and dashboard that matches or replaces the factory 12-colour strip; footwells added. W177, built 2018 on (MBUX (NTG6) with the 7 or 10.25-inch touchscreen; CarPlay and Android Auto on most cars, as the Smartphone Integration pack on early ones): Extended ambient lighting: footwells, door pockets and the console added alongside the factory 64-colour system.
